Dr. Michele Antonucci

Graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome in October 2011 and specialized in Urology at the same university with top marks in June 2017.
During his training, he worked at the Urology Unit of Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza Hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo (FG) and at the Urology Unit of Belcolle Hospital in Viterbo.
From July 2017 to October 2020, he worked at the Urology Unit of Cristo Re Hospital in Rome, focusing on endourological and minimally invasive surgical techniques. In April 2019, he obtained the “Advanced Clinical Training in Stone Surgery” certification from the Endourological Society.
From November 2020 to 2024, he served as a medical officer at the Urology Unit of San Carlo di Nancy Hospital – GVM Care and Research in Rome, where he focused on robotic surgery, laser techniques, and MIST (Minimally Invasive Surgical Techniques) for the prostate.
Since October 2024, he has been a Urologist at the U.O.S.D. of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology at Policlinico Tor Vergata – Fondazione PTV, a center of excellence for robotic and laser prostate surgery.
Dr. Marco Carilli

Marco Carilli is currently a Medical Officer at the U.O.S.D. of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology at Policlinico Tor Vergata. He earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2015 at the University of Tor Vergata and specialized in Urology in 2021 at the same institution.
He is a member of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU) and the European Association of Urology (EAU), and has authored and co-authored several scientific publications indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. He also participates as a co-investigator in various scientific studies.
His clinical focus is primarily on minimally invasive urological surgery (laser, laparoscopic, and robot-assisted).
Dr. Valerio Iacovelli

After earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery and completing his Urology specialization program, he obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Biotechnologies and Translational Medicine, all from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
He completed a Research Fellowship in Uro-oncology at the Arthur Smith Institute for Urology, North Shore LIJ University Hospital in New York, USA, under Prof. L. Kavoussi, and further trained in Reconstructive Urology at the University of Illinois at Chicago with Prof. E. Kocjancic.
Dr. Francesco Maiorino

Dr. Francesco Maiorino, born in Battipaglia (SA) on May 17, 1989, earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Salerno on October 24, 2014, and specialized in Urology on November 5, 2020 (University Federico II of Naples).
He joined Prof. Bove’s team from January to November 2020 (during his final specialization year), then worked as a freelancer from January 2021 to October 2024 at San Carlo di Nancy Hospital. Since October 2024, he has been working at the U.O.S.D. of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology at Policlinico Tor Vergata.
Over recent years, he has gained experience in the diagnosis and treatment of major urogenital conditions, both oncological and non-oncological, using endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.
He was a research fellow from February 2022 to October 2024 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is co-author of several scientific papers published in major national and international journals.
Dr. Filomena Petta

Bio
Dr. Filomena Petta is a urologist specialized at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
She further enhanced her expertise with a postgraduate course in diagnostics and treatment of male urinary incontinence at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.
Dr. Petta practices in both diagnostic and clinical surgical urology and andrology, performing uroflowmetry, cystoscopy, and urodynamic testing.
Her main focus is male and female urinary incontinence.
She also performs reconstructive vaginal, urogynecological, and minimally invasive surgery for incontinence, and treats functional urology disorders.
She manages cases of urinary infections and neurogenic bladder (neurological bladder dysfunction), and specializes in urological rehabilitation of the pelvic floor.
She is the author of numerous scientific publications in national and international journals.

Currently, she serves as Medical Officer at the U.O.S.D. of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology at Policlinico Tor Vergata in Rome.
She is an active member of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU), the European Association of Urology (EAU), and the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU).
She has contributed as author and co-author to publications and conferences of national and international relevance.
Her clinical focus includes male and female functional urology, particularly lower urinary tract dysfunction syndromes, recurrent cystitis, and urodynamic testing. She also treats uro-oncologic conditions using minimally invasive, robotic, and laparoscopic approaches.
Dr. Matteo Vittori

Dr. Matteo Vittori is a Medical Officer in the Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology Unit at Policlinico Universitario di Tor Vergata in Rome.
After graduating in Medicine and Surgery and completing a specialization program in Urology, he earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Endocrine Metabolic and Endocrine Surgical Sciences at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.
His surgical practice focuses on minimally invasive urological surgery (mostly robot-assisted) for treating neoplastic diseases of the entire urogenital system.
Dr. Vittori is also highly experienced in reconstructive surgery and has specialized for over a decade in ultra-minimally invasive techniques (uMIST) for benign prostatic hyperplasia and advanced endourological treatment of kidney stones. He has performed live surgeries at major international congresses on these topics.
His research focuses mainly on urological oncology and technological innovations in minimally invasive surgery. He has authored over 50 publications in prestigious peer-reviewed urology/surgery journals and serves as a reviewer.
